Detroit Lions defensive tackle Nick Fairley was arrested in Alabama on suspicion of driving under the influence early Sunday morning. According to reports, 24-year-old Fairley was driving over 100 miles per hour when a state trooper pulled him over.
In addition to the DUI, Fairley was cited for reckless driving, no proof of insurance and driving with an open container of alcohol. He also was charged with attempting to elude police, as he continued to drive after officers started the lights and sirens.
It’s the second time that Fairley has been arrested in his home state of Alabama in under two months — he was also picked up for a misdemeanor marijuana possession charge on April 3.
