A source close to Hamilton says that Scherzy agreed to meet up with him and invited him to her Beverly Hills mansion, where the couple, who split last month, reportedly stayed together for a couple days discussing how to make their relationship work long-distance.
“After the split, he was devastated so when he suggested that he fly out to see Nicole, he was delighted she said yes,” says the source. “Both Nicole and Lewis had a bit of time off, so it was the perfect time to meet.”
“Both thought it was a great success. … They desperately want to be together, but they know that from now until Christmas is going to be really tough. They’re both willing to give it their best shot and try to make a success of it thought,” adds the friend. “They love one another dearly and have deeply missed each other since they split.”
Hamilton has certainly made no bones about missing Scherzinger, recently writing on Twitter, :If you’ve found that special someone, don’t EVER let them go no matter what!! Nothing in this world is more important.”
He also recently dedicated his Hungarian Grand Prix win to Nicole, saying, “It feels a little bit odd without that someone here — but I would say now that these are one of those races you want to dedicate to that someone.”
Scherzinger and Hamilton began dating in November 2007 and have been on-again, off-again ever since. The pair has found it hard to keep up the relationship when they are apart so much due to their respective careers.
