Eleven-time Olympic medalist Ryan Lochte’s popularity will continue well past the 2012 Olympics with several Hollywood deals in the works.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lochte has recently been offered roles on two different reality shows with the possibility of a third in the works.
His sports agent Erika Wright says, “I cannot tell you the exact shows, but two different reality show concepts have been offered and one additional is being discussed.”
You can also find Lochte on the talk show circuit when he returns from the Olympics.
In recent weeks Lochte has opened up about wanting to be a fashion designer and star on “Dancing with the Stars.” Lochte has received multiple offers to design his own line and is likely to continue his pop-culture buzz with an offer by comedian Will Ferrell to star in his own Funny or Die video.
Lochte has competed in the 2004, 2008 and 2012 Olympics and is perhaps best known for his friendly rivalry with fellow swimmer Michael Phelps. He plans to continue training for the 2016 Olympics in Rio; however, his Hollywood deals may get in the way. Over the course of the London Olympics Lochte has been a popular figure, spawning memes, videos, fan fiction and countless teen (and 20-something and 30-something …) fantasies.
