Did someone time travel all of us back to 2002? That was the last time the band B2K (remember them?!) was relevant and yet some of the band’s members have been making headlines recently. First there was former member Raz B’s twitter fight with Chris Brown and now this:
A press release was sent out early Jan. 8, said to be from former lead singer Omarion, in which the singer declared he was bisexual. We thought it was really brave of him to come out. The only problem? It was a fake press release. Oops!
]]>Here is the fake statement: “I pride myself in being an honest, God Fearing, respectful man. I have kept my personal life private and wanted to keep it that way. Unfortunately, other’s are interested in profiting from my anguish; so before they can do that, I will clarify things. I am not at all what certain ex-band members are trying to paint me as, I am however a respectable, mature, proud, bisexual man.” The press release made the rounds like crazy and the Internet was buzzing over the statement. Omarion took to his Twitter to set the record straight, tweeting, “”Check it out ‘I DID NOT RELEASE THAT STATEMENT’,whatever you like is your business but I AINT GAY OR BISEXUAL,I love women PERIOD!!!!!!!” Shortly after the tweet, Omarion’s PR team also released a statement (a real one this time!), which reads: “The previously released statement regarding Omarion is false and was generated for negative publicity by an unknown person. Omarion will not contribute to anything negative said or done against him. Omarion respects all of his fans, no matter religion, sexuality, or race.”
