Rejoice, “Orange Is the New Black” fans: Your first look at Season 2 has finally arrived!
Netflix has released the first three images from the highly-anticipated new season — and if they’re any indication of what’s to come, our favorite ladies of Litchfield Correctional are in for another wild ride.
As the image above reveals, it seems Season 2 will pick up right where the first left off, dealing with the aftermath of Piper’s (Taylor Schilling) brutal beatdown of Pennsatucky (Taryn Manning). Yes, that’s blood on her hands, but Manning is returning for Season 2, so Pennsatucky’s likely not dead — just a little battered.
In this photo, we get a glimpse at the prison’s mock job fair, with Danielle Brooks, Lin Tucci, Natasha Lyonne, Yael Stone, Jackie Cruz, Emma Myles and Laverne Cox modeling a vast array of professional attire — much of it not exactly office appropriate.
And in the final photo, we’re introduced to one of Season 2’s new characters, a new adversary for Kate Mulgrew’s Red. Played by recurring guest star Lorraine Toussaint, new inmate Vee is a “longtime street tough” who ran her own drug business that used children as runners.
Season 2 of “Orange Is the New Black” will makes its way to Netflix on Friday, June 6.
