The love lives of the Braverman siblings are getting even more complicated in Season 5 of “Parenthood.”
The latest obstacle to happiness comes in the form of Sonya Walger (“Lost,” “Common Law”), who has taken a recurring role on the NBC drama in the fall. Her character, Meredith, is an architect who is working with contractor Joel (Sam Jaeger) on a big project.
Her upfront manner — and the fact that she looks like Sonya Walger — unnerves Joel’s wife, Julia (Erika Christensen), who begins to see Meredith as a threat to their marriage. Even though Joel, to this point, has been nothing but a loyal partner.
Walger’s casting follows on the heels of news that Matt Lauria is returning to the show as Amber’s (Mae Whitman) boyfriend, Ryan. Ray Romano will also be back as Sarah’s (Lauren Graham) would-be love interest Hank.
“Parenthood” premieres at 10 p.m. ET Thursday, Sept. 26 on NBC.
