One half of the Fonda acting dynasty middle generation has wed for a third time. Peter Fonda, 71, son of screen legend Henry Fonda and younger brother of Jane Fonda, wed Margaret “Parky” DeVogelaere, 57, in Hawaii on Father’s Day (June 19).
This is Fonda’s third marriage. His first marriage, to Susan Brewer, was from 1961 to 1972 and produced actress Bridget Fonda. Peter’s second marriage was to Portia Crockett and lasted from 1975 until earlier 2011, though that divorce is more of a formality, as new bride Margaret has been his companion for years.
Fonda is best known for his turn as biker Wyatt in the 1969 film “Easy Rider.” He was nominated for an Oscar in 1997 for “Ulee’s Gold” and was most recently seen on “CSI: NY.” Congratulations to Peter and Margaret.
