Heiress Petra Ecclestone, 22, tied the knot over the weekend to
businessman James Stunt and while the nuptials carried a hefty price
tag, there were few surprises.
One would think if you’re going to drop between $5 million and $7 million on a wedding, you’d go for something a bit different than Vera Wang and Andrea Bocelli. Of course, if you’ve recently dropped $85 million in cash to buy Aaron Spelling‘s mansion, $5 million for a wedding is really not that big of a deal.
The bride wore white. A $130,000 Vera Wang gown to be precise. The wedding was held at the same Italian castle where Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes got hitched in 2006 ($500,000 if you’re looking to rent it out for your next fit). The 350 guests enjoyed a $6,500-a-bottle wine and Cristal champagne. Live music was provided by Bocelli, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Alicia Keys, the Black Eyed Peas and Eric Clapton (a family friend, naturally).
In lieu of gifts, the couple asked that charitable donations be made instead. So, there’s that.
