ABC Family has announced a summer schedule that includes the return of hits “Pretty Little Liars” and “Switched at Birth” and the debut of four new series including scripted dramas “Twisted” and Jennifer Lopez-produced “The Fosters.”
“Pretty Little Liars” will return for Season 4 on June 11 at 8 p.m. ET, leading into the 9 p.m. premiere of new mystery drama “Twisted” starring Avan Jogia as a 16-year-old prime suspect in a murder case. Maddie Hasson, Kylie Bunbury, Kimberly Quinn, Sam Robards, Ashton Moio and Denise Richards also star.
“The Fosters” premieres June 3 at 9 p.m. following the one-hour series finale of “The Secret Life of the American Teenager.” “Fosters” stars Teri Polo and Sherri Saum as two moms raising a multi-ethnic family mix of foster and biological kids. Jake T. Austin, Hayden Byerly, David Lambert, Maia Mitchell, Danny Nucci and Cierra Ramirez also star.
“Switched at Birth” returns one week later on June 10 at 8 p.m. ET. to continue its current Season 2 run.
ABC Family comedies “Melissa and Joey” and “Baby Daddy” return for seasons 3 and 2 respectively on May 29, leading into new reality competition show “Dancing Fools” which features video clips of funny and outrageous dances contending for a $10,000 cash prize.
New docu soap “The Vineyard” — about a group of twentysomethings spending the summer on Martha’s Vineyard — premieres July 24 9 p.m.
ABC Family’s announcement made no mention of “Bunheads” (which aired original episodes last summer) or “The Lying Game” (which did not).
