TMZ is reporting that Richard Baker, a.k.a. rapper Machine Gun Kelly, was arrested in Florida early Sunday morning (Jan. 29) for misdemeanor disorderly conduct in Pinellis County, which is home to St. Petersburg and part of the Tampa Bay area on the west coast of Florida.
According to the county Sheriff’s website, Baker was arrested at 4:12 a.m. local time and later released on a $100 bond. Baker is currently on tour, playing a venue in St. Petersburg before the incident. His 2011 singles “Invincible” and “Wild Boy” both charted in the U.S.
Machine Gun tweets of the incident, “Just spent my entire night in a f****** Florida jail…s*** escaladed way to quick last night, it always does with us though” and “Thanking God that only half of us went to jail, that @216EXPLOSIVE is outta the hospital, and that we get to go back to Cleveland today…”
We’re rather disappointed he didn’t live up to the other Machine Gun Kelly’s legacy by trying to kidnap someone and rob a bank.
