Remember Rebecca Black‘s “Friday” music video? Of course you do. And she does too, for better or worse.
Black might never have made a single that caught the public awareness quite as much as “Friday” did, but she’ll still busy making her name as a YouTube personality. In honor of this past Black Friday (get it?), she decided to post her own reaction to rewatching “Friday” two-and-a half-years after it was first released.
Her commentary is better than one might think. Here are some of the best things she said while cringing through 2011’s most infamous viral video:
“I’m regretting this already.”
“Kill that hair!”
“Umm, can we just talk about the fact that I had a huge pimple on my cheek right when I was filming this video?”
“That blue eye shadow though. … I can’t get over that blue eye shadow. I can’t do it.”
“I’m literally not moving my arms. I lost the ability to move my arms.”
“It’s over. Thank god. That was too much for me.”
So does she really hate “Friday”? No, of course not. It did make her famous, after all.
“In all seriousness, ‘Friday’ was something that completely changed my life and, as much as even I laugh at it, it’s not something that I regret doing,” Black says at the end of the video. Tell us that again in two-and-a-half more years.
