Rihanna is suing mad — the singer has filed a lawsuit against her former money managers accusing them of mishandling her finances and costing her tens of millions of dollars, leading to an IRS audit.
According to E! Online, Rihanna filed a federal complaint against Berdon LLP, whom she used from 2005 until 2011. She accuses the firm of letting her 2009 tour lose money due to an unorthodox revenue sharing agreement, and not filing her tax returns correctly between 2008 and 2010, resulting in an IRS audit.
“Despite having earned millions of dollars in revenues during
Berdon’s tenure, Fenty learned that her net income after payment of
expenses and exorbitant commissions to defendant was a fraction of that
amount,” says the suit.
Rihanna is accusing Berdon of negligence and breach of contract.
