When a performer has a single called “Diamonds,” it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that he or she is a fan of fancy, expensive things. That’s why fans should have expected that Rihanna would release a $250 version of her album, “Unapologetic.”
The limited edition “Diamonds Executive Platinum Box” will be available starting Dec. 11 and is “a limited edition art piece for the true collector.” It includes a colored “Diamonds” remixes vinyl, 2GB Credit Card-style USB stick, a unisex shirt featuring a photo from Rihanna’s “Unapologetic” album photo shoot with Michael Muller, seven art print lithographs featuring Mullers photos and other art work, device adhestives and laptop sticker, a note from Rihanna to the Navy and much, much more (including, you know, a copy of the album).
Clearly Rihanna is trying to make the limited edition album worth your while, but there are other options. There’s also a $79 “Diamonds Deluxe Edition Box” that feature some other perks like a “limited edition genuine, conflict-free diamond bracelet.” And then, of course, you can always buy the album on iTunes for significantly less money when it drops Nov. 19. So, which version are you going to pick up?
