Us Weekly confirmed the news at the HBO Emmys party, and Wilson gave few specifics about what to expect from Marnie’s mother — except that she won’t be partaking in the “Girls” tradition of showing a lot of skin (in painfully awkward situations).
Unlike Hannah Horvath’s (Lena Dunham) raunchy parents, Wilson requested no nude scenes as part of her contract.
“That’s all I have to say. I’m like, ‘Don’t write in any nudity, please!’, reports Us.
“Girls” (and its comfort with cringe-worthy nakedness) won over a legion of passionate fans and critics in its first year — even garnering multiple Emmy nominations. Although the show didn’t take home any wins on Sunday, Dunham did make a memorable — unclothed, of course — appearance in the Emmys Awards’ opening skit.
“Girls” won’t be back until January, but a recently-released clip from HBO made fans happy by teasing lots of smiles and series regulars on set in Brooklyn.
Wilson is the latest in a number of popular names to be joining the
series. Donald Glover and Patrick Wilson have been confirmed for Season 2, and rumors have circulated that Chris Noth might also make an appearance.
