The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame announced its 2011 inductees on Wednesday (Dec. 15). Eight rockers were selected from a list of 15 nominees.
Receiving honors at the 26th annual induction ceremony are:
Alice Cooper Band
The musicians were selected by more than 500 voters to be immortalized in the Cleveland hall of fame. In order to be eligible, the artists must have released their first single or album at least 25 years prior to being nominated.
The honors will take place on March 14, 2011 at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City and will be broadcast live on Fuse.
In order to be eligible in 2011, the artists’ must have released their first recording no later than 1985. What do you think? Did the voters get it right this year, or were Bon Jovi, Beastie Boys and LL Cool J snubbed?
