“Rookie Blue” is officially renewed for a fourth season, ABC announced Tuesday (June 27).
The summer cop drama starring Missy Peregrym and Gregory Smith is currently airing its third season on the Alphabet network. “Blue” usually tops its time slot among adults 18-49, with its ratings growing by 4 percent over its sophomore outing last year.
The series follows the professional and personal journeys of five new police officers, now on their third year on the job. Production will begin on the next season later this summer in Toronto.
