Less than 24 hours after the death of “Jackass” daredevil Ryan Dunn, friends, fans — and some critics — are reacting to the news. Dunn died early Monday (June 20) in a fiery car crash near his Pennsylvania home.
Johnny Knoxville, the de facto, leader of the “Jackass” troupe tweeted, “Today I lost my brother Ryan Dunn. My heart goes out to his family and his beloved Angie. RIP Ryan, I love you buddy.”
Jason “Wee-Man” Acuna, another “Jackass” alum, also shared his reaction on Twitter, writing “I MISS YOU BUD!! You were always a happy kick-a– dude!!”
There’s been no public reaction yet from Steve-O or Bam Margera, although Margera’s mother did tell Radar Online , “I felt like I lost one of my own sons.”
Meanwhile, film critic Roger Ebert, instead of memorializing Dunn used the opportunity to post a public service announcement of sorts:
Friends don’t let jackasses drink and drive.
