Did Ryan Gosling get aged out of the remake of sci-fi flick “Logan’s Run”? Probably not. But Variety’s Justin Kroll announces Wednesday (Oct. 24) on Twitter that Gosling is officially out for the movie, and no reason for his exit is given.
“Rough news for those LOGAN’S RUN fans, I can confirm Ryan Gosling is no longer attached to the project,” Kroll writes.
In the story’s dystopian future, once you reach a certain age — 21 in the 1967 novel the flick is based on, 30 in the 1976 film starring Michael York — you’re killed. And Gosling is the ripe old age of 31 now.
Whatever the reason, fans are surely disappointed that Logan won’t be portrayed by Gosling now. No word on whether Gosling’s “Drive” director Nicolas Winding Refn (pictured above right) will continue with the project.
