All’s been quiet on the “Star Wars: Episode VII” front, so it’s no surprise that a number of rumor-filled reports have come forth about the project. Lucasfilm already shot down reports that J.J. Abrams is backing out of the film, and now a report claims that Ryan Gosling and Zac Efron are up for lead roles.
Latino Review reports that both names have been “thrown around a lot.” Gosling went in to talk about playing Luke Skywalker’s son, while Efron could be up for Han Solo’s son, the site reports.
Latino Review’s reports aren’t always accurate, but sometimes they strike true. For instance, the fact that the site says “Episode VII” takes place 30 years after “Return of the Jedi” aligns with reports we’ve heard over recent months. With D23 less than a month away, it’s expected that some big casting news will come out of the convention.
“Star Wars: Episode VII” is due in theaters in Summer 2015.
