Despite reports that Sylvester Stallone‘s son Sage was found dead of a drug overdose, the AP reports that the cause of death still remains unclear after the 36-year-old was found dead in his Los Angeles home Friday (July 13). Sage is pictured above with his father in the 1990 movie “Rocky V.”
Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter says there are no signs of foul play or trauma and no suicide note was found. An autopsy will be performed in the next few days and investigators will look into Sage’s medical history while toxicology tests are performed.
Sylvester Stallone’s publicist Michelle Bega says in a statement, “Sylvester Stallone is devastated and grief-stricken over the sudden loss of his son. His compassion and thoughts are with Sage’s mother, Sasha.”
Sage was the oldest of Stallone’s five children. His two sons, Sage and brother Seargeoh, were from his marriage to Sasha Czack. Stallone also has three daughters with his current wife Jennifer Flavin — Sophia, Sistine and Scarlet.
