Adam Levine — Maroon 5 singer, “Voice” judge, “American Horror Story” sacrificial lamb and generally hot guy — hosted “Saturday Night Live” this week. While not all of the sketches were perfect, there were a few highlights. And not all of them were the sight of Adam Levine’s bare chest.
But that was indeed one of them. Levine’s opening monologue featured a few special guests (Jerry Seinfeld, Cameron Diaz, Adam Samberg) and a bunch of “The Voice” references. Most of it was pleasant enough if not entirely memorable. The sight of the “SNL” host’s shirtless, tattooed body, however, was impossible to forget. In a good way.
If you want to just watch the important part, move the video forward to the 5:05 mark.
Because Samberg was back anyway — and because the show had a singer for a host — Lonely Island and the “SNL” digital short returned for a rather amusing little tune by the name of “YOLO.”
Levine is a good host, no matter what you may think of his acting skills, and that helped to make the “Catfish” skit an excellent one.
Considering the events of the past week, this one was both amusing and timely.
What was your favorite sketch from Adam Levine’s “SNL” appearance?
