Though “Friday Night Lights” ended two and a half years ago (and the rumored movie might not ever happen), we still can’t help but get excited whenever we see anything new involving the cast of the little series that defied all odds and captured the hearts of its loyal fanbase.
Star Scott Porter ignited that passion once more when he shared a photo on Instagram on Sunday (Oct. 20) that reunited some of the cast. The photo featured Matt Lauria‘s Luke Cafferty, Gaius Charles‘ Smash, Zach Gilford‘s Matt Saracen, Porter’s Jason Street, and Kevin Rankin‘s Herc. “#FNL #FridayNightLights reunion at #SundayFunday. #Smash #Street #Saracen #Herc #Luke @gaiuscharles @zachgilford713,” the caption read.
“Friday Night Lights” was in the news recently for a less-than-celebratory reason when Connie Britton revealed that her onscreen husband Kyle Chandler was the one putting the brakes on a “Friday Night Lights” movie. The “Nashville” star sat down with host Andy Cohen in the “Watch What Happens: Live” clubhouse on Oct. 7 and talked about while she thinks it’s a great idea, Coach Taylor’s portrayer doesn’t agree. Clear eyes, full hearts … won’t do the movie?
