The latest rumor coming out of the “American Idol” judging panel replacement talks is a big one — the New York Post is reporting that they “hear producers at the Fox show have reached out to the Bad Boy Records founder and rap mogul” Sean “Diddy” Combs.
The panel has two empty judges seats following the departure of Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez. One spot has already been filled by Mariah Carey and the third spot may still be occupied by Randy Jackson, though no official announcement has been made either way on Jackson.
Brad Paisley’s name has also been bandied about, as has Nick Jonas’. Frankly, maybe the show should give Randy the boot and line up Paisley, Carey and Diddy, which kind of sounds like the start to a “walks into a bar” joke.
What do you think, “Idol” fans?
