seth macfarlane the simpsons gi Seth MacFarlane to voice 'The Simpsons' character in season finale

For the first time ever, Seth MacFarlane will join FOX’s other hit animated program, lending his voice to the season finale of “The Simpsons.” The creator of “Family Guy,” “American Dad” and “The Cleveland Show” is no stranger to Sunday night animation, however MacFarlane has largely stuck to his own work in recent years, outside of some guest voicing on “Robot Chicken.”
“The Simpsons'” season finale event consists of two episodes, with MacFarlane appearing on the latter. In the first episode, Homer and his friends win a nice sum of money in the lottery, however Carl takes the winnings and runs to his homeland, Iceland. To get it back, Homer, Moe and Lenny embark on an around-the-world adventure.
The second part of the event finds Marge accidentally joining a website for swingers, thinking it was a place to talk cupcakes. On the site she meets a married man named Ben (MacFarlane), who shares her love of a “Downton Abbey”-type TV show called “Upton Rectory.” His wife is voiced by stand up comic Lisa Lampanelli. The second episode will also feature a special cough gag created by the winner of a fan-favorite contest. Over 30,000 entries were submitted, with fans choosing between three finalists.
“The Simpsons” will enter season 25 in the Fall. Starting in 1989, the show is the longest-running primetime scripted series in TV history. The season finale event for “The Simpsons” airs Sunday, May 19, at 8:00 p.m. ET on FOX.
