Though New York City has always been integral to the “Sex and the City” franchise, the girls filmed a significant part of the sequel in Morocco.

“We were in Morocco for almost two months,” Parker tells Letterman. “We were in Marrakesh, which is a very sophisticated, bustling, exciting, completely wonderfully foreign place. It’s a big city, I don’t know relative to the island of Manhattan, although I should have looked that up.”
