“Everybody has their own version of the truth and memories are very funny things,” says Doherty, denying that she was put-upon to be driven around in a town car and not a limousine.
Hall also asks Doherty about Tori Spelling’s new reality show, “True Tori,” which is chronicling Spelling’s marriage troubles after Dean McDermott cheated on her while shooting in Canada.
“I watch the show and here’s my face [drops jaw]. I mean, wow, wow. It is just all out there, she is baring her soul,” says Doherty. “Everybody has their process of what’s cathartic and how to deal with something and this might be hers. … My heart does break for her, it breaks for anybody that is in that situation. That’s pretty awful. I certainly hope everything works out for the best. In the meantime, it making for some amazing TV.”
Doherty concludes with a message for Tori: “Love yourself. Tori’s a beautiful girl and she needs to ignore the haters.”
Below, Doherty talks about her latest project, “Blood Lake: Attack of the Killer Lampreys” and shares an awesome clip. It’s no “Sharknado,” but it’s still pretty awesome. Doherty clearly knows it is meant to be funny, and she also is excited to work with Animal Planet because she wants to do projects with the network and Sea Shepherd, a marine wildlife conservation organization.
“Blood Lake” premieres Sunday, May 25 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Animal Planet.
