Although it won’t hit theaters until June 2012, Universal Pictures is capitalizing on the “Twilight” buzz wave to promote Kristen Stewart’s next movie, “Snow White and the Hunstman.” The trailer (watch it via iTunes movie trailers) launched Thursday (Nov. 10) and quickly moved up to the top of Twitter trends.
Charlize Theron plays the beautiful, yet evil queen out to destroy Stewart’s Snow White by eating her heart. She can also dissolve into a murder of crows, which is a pretty cool bit of black magic. We literally got chills when, at the end of the trailer, Theron delivers these killer lines: “Lips red as blood, hair black as night. Bring me your heart, my dear, dear Snow White.”
Chris Hemsworth is also here in full knight-in-shining-armor glory as the Huntsman, who becomes Snow White’s protector and chivalrous make-out buddy. Stewart, who sports armor herself, is an update on the helpless animated Snow White of yesteryear — one who wields a sword and is a skilled horsewoman.
Okay, we’re officially excited.
Oh, and heads up, the official “Hunger Games” trailer is due on Monday (Nov. 14) — we’ll get it to you as soon as it debuts.
