Hulu has struck a deal with the creators of “South Park” to become the digital home for the long-running series.
The multi-year deal will put all 17 seasons and 200-plus episodes of “South Park” on Hulu, the site’s subscription service, starting Saturday (July 12). Starting with the Season 18 premiere in September, the library will move to the subscription service Hulu Plus. New episodes will be available the day after they air on Comedy Central on both tiers.
The show’s current online home at ComedyCentral.com will remain intact through the start of Season 18, and after that it will have a “revolving selection” of free episodes, as will Hulu.
“This is a natural partnership for us,” “South Park creators Matt Parker and Trey Stone say in a statement. “We are excited that the entire library will be available on Hulu and that the best technology around will power South Park Digital Studios.”
In addition to the “South Park” news, Hulu has also renewed its original series “East Los High” for a third season. Season 2 of the drama is streaming now.
