Steve Carell may be lining up his first post-“Office” project — “Burt Wonderstone,” a New Line comedy is about a Vegas magician who accidentally kills
his partner and must regain his mojo (or, as the logline has it, his

]]>Abigail Breslin debuted a song at the Toronto Film Festival last week at the premiere of “Janie Jones,” where Breslin plays the daughter of a drug-addled rock star. She tells Spin, “”I learned to play a little guitar and it’s really hard because your fingers bleed. And it’s scary to get on stage in front of people. Brenda Chapman, who will also write the film, has been tapped to direct “Brave,” a “Mulan”-esque tale of a toyboyish royal girl named Merida who would rather  focus on archery than lady-like activities. Voicing the characters are Reese Witherspoon, Billy Connolly, Emma Thompson and Julie Walters. [THR] Christopher Lloyd is going back to the future in a new movie called “Time, the Fourth Dimension,” set for a spring 2012 release. Lloyd will portray an eccentric professor who will explore and explain various dimensions with a focus on space-time. Great scott!
