This isn’t likely to be a big season for Donna romantically, but she is getting some good story. “We [get] some back story into Donna through some of the things she talks about with Louis,” executive producer Aaron Korsh says in an interview with TVLine. “We have one pretty fun episode where we get to see what Donna’s doing outside the office. You get to hear her talk about her decision to become a legal secretary and some of her family dynamics growing up.”
Considering that, even after three seasons of awesomeness, fans don’t know too much about Donna Paulson, this is a good thing.
Life might not be so good for Louis, now that his dreams of making name partner have been dashed by the hiring of Jeff Malone (DB Woodside). Things are going to get emotional with that disappointment as early as episode 2.
“The irony is that Louis did an amazing job of seeing Malone coming and coming up with a plan to go to Jessica,” Korsh tells BuddyTV. “He doesn’t implement that plan because he listens to Harvey’s off-handed advice about not calling the pretty girl … Louis is kind of going to be very upset about that. He’s going to have some animosity with Malone, and he’s going to be somewhat distraught and angry about it. In episode 2, a little bit with Donna’s help, he’s gonna have a little emotional blow based on that experience.”
“Suits” Season 4 airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on USA.
