Prepare to see Sylvester Stallone and Robert De Niro‘s “Grudge Match” a bit earlier than expected. The flick was originally slated to be released on January, but Warner Bros. just bumped it up to Christmas Day.
That’s a big vote of confidence for any movie, and should get fans hyped for the upcoming click. Thus far the movies it is facing off against that day are Keanu Reeves’ “47 Ronin,” Julia Roberts and Meryl Streep’s “August: Osage County,” Chris Pine’s “Jack Ryan,” Jason Reitman’s “Labor Day” and Ben Stiller’s “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty.” With months left until Dec. 25, there’s always the chance that one of those movies could be moved to a new release date, or something new could be added to that time slot.
That’s not the only change Warner Bros. made to its line-up. “The Seventh Son” has been moved back once again, this time to Jan. 17, 2014. The fantasy adventure film stars Jeff Bridges, Julianne Moore and Kit Harington.
This isn’t the only upcoming movie Stallone has where he’s starring opposite an equally awesome costar. Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger are reteaming in Oct. 18’s “Escape Plan,” and fans also have the ensemble action flick “The Expendables 3” to look forward to on Aug. 15, 2014.
