On Sept. 15, the 20-year-old reality star tweeted , “It’s true! We’re engaged!”
But according to a copy of a wedding certificate posted by the tabloid,
the couple were wed Sept. 4, 2012, by Judge Michael J. Pochron in
Allentown, Penn. The document seems legit — except for the fact that
Marroquin’s name is misspelled as “Marroquim.”
Two images shared by the couple on their respective Twitter accounts may add credence to In Touch’s story. In one photo, Lowry is seen wearing a ring that looks much more like a wedding band than an engagement ring.
And on Nov. 2, Marroquin, 19, retweeted a collage by a professional photographer that includes a small picture of Kailyn in what looks like a wedding gown.
Update: Lowry insists this is not a wedding picture. “Those were for a dress made from book pages FOR FUN,” she tweeted today (Nov. 6). (Although she didn’t deny that she and Marroquin are married.)
The couple, who have been in New York City filming the “Teen Mom 2” reunion (Season 3 debuts Monday, Nov. 12), have yet to comment on the tabloid’s report.
“Teen Mom 2” airs Mondays at 10 p.m. on MTV.
