The rejected girl from “The Bachelor” finale, Lindzi Cox (far right), was on “Good Morning America” Tuseday morning (March 13), where she speaks about her experience on the show and also explains her desperate-sounding parting words for Ben.
“At the end of the day, it was tough for a little bit,” says Lindzi, of the rejection. “But he made a decision that’s best for him and I respect that. I wish them nothing but the best.”
“Hindsight is a beautiful thing … especially when you watch it on TV. I can see why he went with her … they really did have a solid … and she was naked a lot. Maybe if I skinny-dipped, I wouldn’t be here with you,” jokes Lindzi. (Jokes?)
As for why she didn’t appear on the After the Final Rose special, Lindzi says, “I’m in a good place. I don’t need my closure. I think Ben has bigger things to worry about it … I learned a lot from the experience, it was awesome. I would totally go do it again.”
And regarding her “if it doesn’t work out, call me” line to Ben, which we were a little shocked Lindzi put out there, she says, “I was kidding! That was a joke. I didn’t know what to say, it’s such an awkward silence and I make jokes a lot. I think it sounded a little more serious [than I meant it].”
Finally, when pressed for whether Ben and Courtney will make it, Lindzi diplomatically says, “I wish them nothing but the best. I don’t know.”
“The Bachelor” franchise returns Monday, May 14 when Emily Maynard starts her quest to find love again as “The Bachelorette.”
