“The Blacklist” star Amir Arison has a double bonus on Monday, March 24. Not only is it his birthday, but the new episode, “Ivan,” puts his character of Aram out in the field, where he may have finally met his match.
“It’s pretty fun to see Aram put on a winter coat and a scarf. When I got fitted for that, I was like, ‘Really? I get to leave the war room?!” Arison tells Zap2it with a laugh. “You see me out in the field, there are a few locations we go to outside the war room because we are tracking down a potential cyber-terrorist.”
“It was one of my favorite scripts I personally have gotten,” he continues, “because Aram may have met his match. Someone out there is as good or possibly better than Aram at computers … He’s really tested.
“On top of that, there’s also great stuff continuing to be revealed with the Tom/Liz/Reddington storyline. So we have our cyber-terrorist storyline, some fun Aram in the field and some excellent central storyline. I can’t wait to see the fans’ reaction to some of the stuff that’s coming.”
Arison adds, “I’m having such a great time [on ‘The Blacklist’]. It’s really starting to feel like a family and that’s something I’ve always dreamed about in my career and now it’s happening.”
Look for more of interview with Arison later this week, when he teases what’s coming for the rest of the season on “The Blacklist” hurtles toward its season finale. The new hit drama airs Monday nights at 10 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.
