When asked about the hiatus, Margulies says, “It’s been so long because the Olympics, the Oscars and the Super Bowl all happened on Sundays. We’re about to have a very dramatic second half of the season, so they didn’t want to cut it up. That’s why.”
And is Alicia fully committed to Peter or is the door still open for Will? “Keep watching,” Margulies teases.
Favorite guest-star? “Oh my god, there’s so many, I can’t even tell you … I would have to say when Stockard Channing came on to play my mom, I kind of died and went to heaven,” says Margulies.
She also takes a little bit of umbrage with a caller who wants to know what is “unsexy” about George Clooney, her “ER” love interest. After wondering why anybody would want to know that, Margulies says, “I got an amazing time with George for five years on a show that people watched. To this day, he’s still my go-to person and there’s just nothing unsexy about him, so stop trying to look.”
“The Good Wife” returns Sunday, March 9 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
