Because what TV really needs right now is another show involving serial killers, AMC’s “The Killing” will tackle the topic in its upcoming third season.
The detective drama returns to the network on June 2 for what everyone involved promises will be a season-long investigation. No loose ends or frustrating cliffhangers this time, but we’ll see if they do anything to address those pointless red herrings…
Mireille Enos and Joel Kinnaman are the only returning cast members, now backed by an intriguing ensemble including Peter Sarsgaard, Elias Koteas and Amy Seimetz. Season 3 opens one year after the resolution of the Rosie Larsen murder case and picks up with Sarah Linden (Enos) no longer in law enforcement. Her former partner Holder (Kinnaman) lures her back to detective work to help solve a grisly series of murders somehow connected to a case from Linden’s past.
