If you’re anything like us, then you’re also eagerly awaiting the first “Muppets” live action feature film in more than a decade (yes, we had to count 1999’s “Muppets from Space”).
Really, what’s not to like? Jason Segal and Amy Adams front an all-star Muppet cast in what sounds like a ridiculously plausible Muppet plot: Some rich dude (played by Chris Cooper) plans to raze the Muppets’ theater to drill for oil. But Jason and Amy discover the plot and help Kermit reunite the gang — which has scattered in the most hilarious directions (see below) — save the day.
From the press release:
Fozzie now performs with a Reno casino tribute band called the Moopets, Miss Piggy is a plus-size fashion editor at Vogue Paris, Animal is in a Santa Barbara clinic for anger management, and Gonzo is a high-powered plumbing magnate.
“The Muppets” hits theaters Nov. 23, just in time for the holidays.
