john krasinski cameron crowe movie gi 'The Office's' John Krasinski may join Cameron Crowe's new movieJim Halpert, military man? It could happen, thanks to Cameron Crowe.

“The Office” star (and soon-to-be father) John Krasinski is in talks to join the cast of Crowe’s latest film, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The untitled movie stars Bradley Cooper as a defense contractor who falls in love with an Air Force pilot (Emma Stone) while working on the launch of a military satellite.

The already star-studded cast also includes Rachel McAdams, Bill Murray, Alec Baldwin, Jay Baruchel and Danny McBride. If a deal works out, Krasinski would play a military man who’s married to McAdams’ character — who, incidentally, is the ex-wife of Cooper’s character.

Krasinski and Crowe (“Almost Famous,” “We Bought a Zoo”) have never worked together before, but it seems like a pretty natural fit. Krasinski has donned a military uniform once before in his movie career for a co-starring role in “Jarhead.”

What do you think of the (potential) casting?
