Adam Levine and Christina Aguilera go head-to-head every week on “The Voice,” and their back-and-forth banter has brought on plenty of memorable moments – including Adam’s uncensored s-bomb when Aguilera accused him of frequently soiling himself. (What? Yes.)
Despite their on-screen rivalry, Levine recently invited Aguilera to join forces with his band Maroon 5 for an impressive duet, “Moves Like Jagger,” which is currently sitting pretty at #1 on the iTunes chat. They performed together on Tuesday’s episode to rave reviews (if you don’t count the fashion critics’ opinions of Aguilera’s outfit).
So how does Levine really feel about Aguilera? On Thursday night he appeared on “Conan” to clear things up about his “Voice” competitor.
“She’s a pain in the ass,” he said, “But she’s my pain in the ass. I love her. She’s great. I’m going to get in trouble for that, too. No, she’s great, we love her, and she’s super talented. I’m a pain in the ass. We’re all pains in the ass.”
