In addition to its musician judges, “The Voice” has previously welcomed several big-name artists as mentors for its contestants and Season 6 is no exception. NBC just announced another artist is joining the club.
Coldplay frontman Chris Martin has been announced as a mentor for Season 6, but in a “Voice” first, he’ll serve as a mentor to singers on all four teams, starting with Round 2 of the Battles, which kicks off Monday, March 31. Martin advises the contestants on vocal techniques, stage presence and tailoring songs to fit their strengths — these episodes are already taped.
The live shows begin Monday, April 21, when the Top 12 artists start competing each week for America’s vote, with the winner being crowned Tuesday, May 20.
