andrew j west the walking dead season 4 'The Walking Dead' Season 4 casts Andrew J. West in mysterious role

“The Walking Dead” has added another new actor for Season 4. As the show heads towards its midseason finale, Andrew J. West has been added for a part that will appear in the second half.

Expect the “Greek” alum to stick around for a bit, as well. The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that West will be credited as a “guest star” in Season 4, and has the option of being upped to a series regular next season.

West will play a character named Gareth, who isn’t found in “The Walking Dead” comics. It’s being reported that he’ll be a “remix” of an “unidentified character from the series,” and that he is a “big presence” and plays an “important character” in the show.

Other major characters from the comics still yet to be introduced in Season 4 are Michael Cudlitz as Abraham, Josh McDermitt as Eugene and Christian Serratos as Rosita. “The Walking Dead” airs Sundays on AMC at 9 p.m.
