Another key “Walking Dead” comic book character is coming to the hit AMC series for its upcoming fourth season.
Deadline reports that “Twilight” star Christian Serratos is set to recur as Rosita Espinosa throughout Season 4, with an option to become series regular during Season 5. Rosita first surfaced in the show’s source material in Issue 53, when she, along with Abraham and Eugene, headed to Washington, D.C. and crossed paths with Rick and his crew at Hershel’s farm.
It’s clear that the Rosita of the TV series will have an altered storyline, as Hershel’s farm has long since been abandoned. As it stands, there’s been no mention of Abraham and Eugene making the leap from page to screen alongside Rosita.
Season 4 will also see the introduction of new series regular Larry Gilliard Jr. (“The Wire”) in the role of Bob Stookey, a former Army medic haunted by his past.
“The Walking Dead” is set to premiere Sunday, Oct. 13 at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
