“The Walking Dead” might have David Morrissey as a Season 4 regular, but don’t expect him to be a big presence in the upcoming episodes. In fact, fans could have a while to wait until they discover where the Season 3 villain is located.
In an article about a visit to the show’s set, TV Guide gives a hint about when the Governor will pop up in the show. “The Governor’s whereabouts will be revealed in two flashback episodes later this season,” the site confirms.
So does that mean that we’ll only see the Governor twice this season? It’s unclear, but executive producer Gale Anne Hurd already said they’re intentionally keeping the character out of promotional material.
“We did that for reason being we don’t want people to focus too much on, ‘Oh, you know, Season 4 is going to be exactly like Season 3.’ Then all the questions are, ‘Is he going to be in the first episode? How much of a focus is going to be on the Governor?'” she tells Zap2it.
Andrew Lincoln confirms to TV Guide, “We’re going to meet again. And there will be blood, as they say.”
Also, fun fact about Lincoln: he is so obsessed with “Duck Dynasty” that his costar Norman Reedus gave him a doormat of the show for his trailer.
“The Walking Dead” Season 4 premiere on AMC on Oct. 13 at 9 p.m. ET.
