“NCIS” got a ratings bump Tuesday, hitting a season high in viewers with the first half of a two-part story, and “The Biggest Loser” also improved for NBC. “Glee,” meanwhile, stayed on the low side with its hyped “The First Time” episode, while “New Girl” also declined in viewers (although it was even with last week among adults 18-49).

CBS led every hour of primetime in viewers on its way to averaging 15.8 million viewers and a 10.0 rating/15 share in households for the night. ABC (10.4 million, 6.9/11) came in second. FOX (6.3 million, 4.0/6) took third by a very slim margin over NBC (6.28 million, 4.0/6). The CW drew 1.6 million viewers and a 1.1/2.

The adults 18-49 race was closer, but CBS still led the way with a 3.3 rating. FOX grabbed second in the demographic with a 2.9. NBC’s 2.3 edged ABC’s 2.2 for third, and The CW trailed with a 0.8.
