2012 olympics ratings aug 7 TV ratings: Olympics rebound Tuesday on final night of gymnasticsFast National ratings for Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012

American gymnast Aly Raisman‘s two-medal performance on the final day of gymnastics Tuesday helped NBC’s Summer Olympics ratings rebound some after Monday’s low. The network once again dominated the night completely opposite a slate of mostly repeats elsewhere.

NBC delivered 29.6 million viewers and a 17.3 rating/28 share in households in primetime, up 3.6 million viewers from Tuesday night. CBS scored the best numbers of the non-Olympic group, finishing with 5.5 million viewers and a 3.7/6. ABC (2.5 million, 1.7/3) came in third, a little ahead of FOX (2.4 million, 1.5/2). The CW came in at 533,000 viewers and a 0.4/1.

In the adults 18-49 demographic, NBC’s 9.3 rating was up more than a point from Tuesday’s fast nationals. No one else broke the 1.0 mark: CBS and FOX tied for second at 0.9, followed by ABC at 0.7 and The CW at 0.2.
