Season 10 of “Two and a Half Men” came to an end tonight (May 9) with an episode that saw Walden (Ashton Kutcher) fall for the hot grandma (Marilu Henner) of his twentysomething girlfriend (Hilary Duff), and Jake (Angus T. Jones) ship off to Japan.
Before he left, Jake made time for some father-son bonding with Alan (Jon Cryer) and reassured Alan that he’s always been a good parent: “We lived in a beach house my whole life rent free, and even after Uncle Charlie died we managed to stay there. I mean who else could have done that? … And there were a lot of hot chicks under that roof!”
Their final scene together ended with the two enjoying a view of the Grand Canyon, and Jake letting out a massive fart. Because that’s how “Two and a Half Men” rolls. (Cryer wins Emmys for this thing. Seriously.)
Whether or not Jones returns at all in Season 11 is still being worked out, but his behavior during the season represented just the latest tabloid-friendly antics to rock the show that used to star Charlie Sheen.
No matter. “Two and a Half Men” has proven its durability over the years — people love their smutty sex jokes and embarrassingly predictable plotting, apparently — and both Kutcher and Cryer are locked in for another season.
What did you think of the Season 10 finale and will you miss Jake as a series regular?
