Well, “Unforgettable” fans, the good news is that despite an initial cancellation, CBS has changed their minds about the series, agreeing to revive it for a second season. The not-so-good news is that when the show returns, it’s going to look very different from what you remember.
Obviously, Poppy Montgomery will be returning to reprise her role as Carrie Wells, an NYPD detective plagued by hyperthymesia, which causes her to remember every experience in great detail. Montgomery’s costars Dylan Walsh and Jane Curtin have also signed on for Season 2.
The supporting cast hasn’t been so lucky. “CBS made some creative changes and the supporting cast will not be returning next season,” tweeted Daya Vaidya. “Yea, Nina, Roe, Mike and Tanya r gone. Sad but all of us have great projects in the near future.” Zap2it has confirmed that Vaidya, Michael Gaston, and Kevin Rankin will not rejoin the cast; neither will recurring player Britt Lower.
CBS is expected to announce replacements for the axed characters before the series goes back into production in early 2013.
