It’s not every day you get to count all of the wrestlers in WWE as your friends, but one young boy was able to do exactly that. Connor Michalek first met his favorite wrestler Daniel Bryan through the Make-A-Wish Foundation, it didn’t take long for the two to become friends.
After visiting multiple WWE shows, including “Wrestlemania 30” on April 6, Connor has passed away. Dreaming of becoming a WWE wrestler one day, he dubbed himself “Connor the Crusher” and was able to join the extended WWE family. He got to meet all of his favorite wrestlers and leave a lasting impact on them.
“Connor was special for a million reasons,” Bryan says. “His smile, he was so quick-witted. He was nice to everyone, but sometimes brutally honest.” WWE put together a tribute video for Connor, showing just how involved he became with the wrestlers and it’s something special.
He even got a full ring entrance, with the entire roster standing around the ring cheering him on, followed by a win over Triple H. “Wrestlemania 30” was Connor’s last WWE event. After Bryan won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in the main event, Connor was the first person he went to see at ringside. “He leaned over and said, ‘Connor you mean a lot to me. You give me strength and helped me to earn this. Please keep on fighting’,” his sad days. “He was elated.”
