Following the sudden and tragic death of The Ultimate Warrior, one day after making his first “WWE Raw” appearance in nearly 20 years, fans and wrestlers alike needed to mourn.
They were given the chance to do that when WWE opened Monday’s (April 14) “Raw” with a tribute to the Hall of Famer. As the show began, the wrestlers and management, including Vince McMahon, gathered on stage as Jerry “The King” Lawler introduced a video honoring Warrior’s legendary career.
After the video, there was a 10-bell salute, a time-honored tradition to honor wrestlers who have passed away, as the audience stood by in silence. It was the right way for WWE to say goodbye to one of there own, while allowing the fans to relive the Warrior’s best moments one more time.
