Kevin Costner, who starred opposite Whitney Houston in 1992’s “The Bodyguard,” will speak at the Saturday (Feb. 17) funeral for the singer, who died the day before the Grammys, according to People. Longtime Houston mentor Clive Davis will also speak while Aretha Franklin and Stevie Wonder have been tapped to sing.
Ex-husband Bobby Brown will also reportedly be in attendance, despite earlier rumors that he was banned by Houston’s family. The private funeral service is set to take place on Saturday at Newark, N.J.’s New Hope Baptist Church.
TMZ reports that a private invite-only viewing will also take place on Friday at the Whigham Funeral Home.
